I’m an independent photographer born and raised in the Philadelphia area.
I have been an advocate for social justice from a young age (one of my first memories is trying to break the live lobsters out of the local grocery store), and much of my work explores dispelling stereotypes, promoting empathy and understanding, and educating viewers via documentary imagery.
I have covered topics such as living with HIV/AIDS, homelessness, the #MeToo movement and LGBTQ+ rights, both independently and for publications. I am a frequent contributor to The Philadelphia Inquirer and WHYY, and have also worked with Vogue Italia, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, NPR, Vox, ESPN Undefeated, Vice, the New York Post, and more.
I received the Jacob Johnson Memorial Grant in 2018.
Beyond photography, I am passionate about volunteering, traveling, and food. When I don't have a camera in my hands, it’s probably because I'm eating pizza.
I am available for assignment and would love to chat with you. Please contact me via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (610-955-6131). I look forward to hearing from you!
